SSC Grade C & D Stenographer Exam

Paper Pattern for SSC Stenographer written exam:
Subject - Maximum Marks:-

  • Part I - General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions) - 50 marks
  • Part II - General Awareness (50 questions) - 50 marks
  • Part III - English Language and Comprehension (100 questions) - 100 marks
  • Duration:-2 Hours

    There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

    SSC Stenographer Skill Test:-

    Aspirants who obtain the qualifying marks in the SSC Stenographer written examination will be called for Skill Test. The qualifying marks for each part of the written exam will be set by Staff Selection Commission. 

    The skill test will be of qualifying nature and the commission will fix the qualifying standards in the skill test for different categories of candidates.

    Aspirants will have to appear for the stenography test.

    Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade D. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time is as follow:

  • For Stenographer Grade D : 50 minutes ( English ) 65 minutes ( Hindi )
  • For Stenographer Grade C: 40 minutes ( English ) 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

    Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)invites applications for Recruitment to the posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector/Stenographer ASI (Steno)

    A selection process including various stages like physical test, skill test and written test etc.

    So, candidates must have the proper knowledge of tests which they will have to face at each different stages. There is more and more competition increasing day by day, it has become challenging as hard nut to crack.

    SELECTION PROCESS:

  • (i)Physical Standard Test (PST), Documentation.
  • (ii)Written Examination.
  • (iii)Skill Test
  • (iv)Medical Examination
  • Exam Pattern:Exam Pattern for the ASI/Steno written Exam is as Follows :-

  • The written test will be objective cum descriptive type.
  • The time duration will be 02:30 hours(150 minutes).
  • The written test will be of 200+25 marks.
  • Each objective type question shall carry one mark.
  • Written examination will consist of the following parts

    PART – 1

  • Section A: Hindi/ English language 50 Marks
  • Section B: General Intelligence 50 Marks
  • Section C: Numerical Aptitude 50 Marks
  • Section D: Clerical Aptitude 50 Marks
  • PART – 2 Essay & Letter writing 25 Marks

    The questions will be set both in Hindi and English. Candidates will have the option to answer either in Hindi or English.

    PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST(PST)

    Physical standards laid down for the post of ASI/Steno are

    a) Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

    SKILL TEST

    PARLIAMENT REPORTER

    Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for filling up of the following vacancies for the post of Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II (Group 'A' Post) in Lok Sabha Secretariat on Direct Recruitment basis:-

    It is a level 10 post in the Pay Matrix (provisional) [in the pay band of Rs.15,600-39,100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay : Rs. 5,400 (Pre-revised).

    The eligibility conditions for appointment to the post of Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II are as under :-

    QUALIFICATION & AGE

    Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and shorthand speed of 160 words per minute in English/Hindi.

    Desirable : Certificate in computer course recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

    UPPER AGE LIMIT : 40 years.

    Eligible candidates will have to appear in Stenography Test/Written Test/Personal Interview at Delhi/New Delhi only (exact venue will be indicated in the admit cards which will be issued to the eligible candidates) as per the following scheme:

    Stenography Test

    Stenography Test will be of 100 marks. Dictation in English/Hindi will be at the speed of :

    (i) 160 w.p.m. of 10 minutes duration to be transcribed within 1 hour 30 minutes (which includes 10 minutes for reading of notes) in case of English Stenography Test and 1 hour 55 minutes (which includes 10 minutes for reading of notes) in case of Hindi.

    (ii) 140 w.p.m. of 10 minutes duration to be transcribed within 1 hour 20 minutes (which includes 10 minutes for reading of notes) in case of English Stenography Test and 1 hour 45 minutes (which includes 10 minutes for reading of notes) in case of Hindi.

    A candidate will be considered for appointment against the vacancies in that stream English/Hindi) only, in which he qualifies the Stenography Test.

    Not more than 5% errors will be allowed for passing the Stenography Test.

    Written Test:

    Only those candidates who qualify the Stenography Test will be called for Written Test. The Scheme of Written Test will be as follows:-

    Part A        General Knowledge & Current Affairs        50 Marks

    Part B        General English                 50 Marks

    Time allowed to complete both parts is 50 minutes

    [Note : Candidates are to qualify in each part at the requisite standard. The minimum cut off percentages of marks in Written Test in an examination is 50%, 45% and 40% for vacancies in UR, OBC and SC/ST categories, respectively, in each part and aggregate.]

    The marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test will not be counted while preparing the final selection list.

    Personal Interview

    Only those candidates who secure the minimum prescribed marks in the Written Test* will be called for the Personal Interview. The Personal Interview will carry 10 marks. Candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview i.e. 50%, 45% and 40% for vacancies in UR, OBC and SC/ST categories, respectively.


    STENO / TYPIST JOBS IN GOVT. OF TELANGANA & A.P.

    Requirement

    It is mandatory to pass examinations conducted by State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET) in respect of Shorthand & Typewriting. SBTET of respective States conduct examination for Shorthand in Grades like Lower, Intermediate & Higher respectively. For Typewriting, examination Grades are Lower & Higher only.

    Shorthand

    Lower Grade requires 80 wpm; Intermediate Grade requires wpm & Higher Grade requires 120 wpm. High speed requires 150 wpm, 180 wpm & 200 wpm.

    Typewriting

    Lower Grade requires 25 wpm; Higher Grade requires 45 wpm; High Speed requires 60 wpm.

    Education: Minimum pass in SSC (10th Class) and above. State Government jobs are available in plenty in almost all the departments of Secretariat, all District Courts, City Civil Courts, High Courts.
